Open new collection tab when selecting a new collection and editing an aggregation

When you are editing an aggregation (aggregtion was not yet saved) and select another collection, do not change the collection you are working on with the new collection. Instead open a new tab with the selected collection

I'm excited to share that we released a change in version 1.43.3 that prevents a modified aggregation tab from being closed by accident when opening a new collection tab.

I cannot stress enough how frustrating this behavior is. Also, please just make CTRL-S save the aggregation.

Yeah, this is extremely frustrating behavior. If an aggregation has not been saved, that tab for the collection with the unsaved aggregation must be preserved. Any other behavior for any other collection must occur in a new tab.

Or at least give me a warning that I will lose my work before going ahead and replace the tab. It's very frustrating to have to save periodically so that you don't lose hours of work. Sometimes, the intention is not even to open a new collection, but you just want to get back to your MongoDB compass window sitting in the background, but if you focus by clicking on the left side of the window you accidentally select a collection and boom, all your aggregation work is gone.
